Mark Murray is Legal Counsel for Astra Asset Management UK Limited, having joined Astra since its inception acting as a director from 2016- 2020, Chief Compliance Officer from 2015-2023 and General Counsel from 2015 to 2025. Mark is a dual-qualified solicitor with over 14 years cross jurisdictional expertise in asset management, compliance, distressed debt, litigation, risk management and structured finance on a cross-jurisdictional basis. Mr Murray previously worked for 2 years as Legal Counsel for both Octave Investment Management LLP and Astra Asset Management UK Limited. Prior to this Mr Murray was retained as Legal Counsel for the Bank of Ireland Group.
Mr Murray is a qualified solicitor and an accredited mediator in the UK and Germany and speaks fluent English and German. Mr Murray holds an LLB from Trinity College Dublin as well as a Masters in Corporate Law and Governance, Financial Law and Regulation and Diplomas in in Mediation Law and Practice and Islamic Finance.
